From an early age Dale Haberfield knew he wanted to be a photographer. Growing up in regional NSW Dale is self-taught and seized every opportunity through media work experience to transform his hobby into a career. Driven by the passion of the image Dale honed his skills photographing album covers for Country and Western recording star, and father Shorty Ranger, at the age of 13. Dale has never been without a camera ever since and earned a newspaper cadetship in 1986.

Working professionally for over 25 year’s fulltime in media, firstly with Rural Press and then News Limited in Brisbane, Dale has photographed everything from fame to poverty, birth to death and horror to happiness. In 2011 Dale created a photographic body of work over two years titled “Sinners & Saints”, which were exhibited in QLD and NSW state regional galleries to critical acclaim. The exhibition portraying Dale’s love for automotive art showcasing the modern day pinup captured the eye of magazine editors paving the way for Dale to pursue new skills as a photo journalist and create Millbrook Studio.

Dale’s work features in Australia’s leading hot rod publication Cruzin Magazine and Gasoline Magazine on a regular basis including feature photography, editorial and layout. His eye for detail and natural creativity is solidly consistent, as he strives to capture the essence of a client’s brief within the image, unique with his style. Photographer foremost, Dale applies all his experience and skills to produce quality images for weddings, editorial, advertising, fashion, portraits, automotive and motorsport.
